What do you think of when you think about losing weight? 

Being hungry?  Feeling deprived?  Feeling depressed? 

I am focusing on aerobic activity because that is the kind of activity that is the best at stabilizing moods (by helping to stabilize blood sugar).  

So if you have trouble with depression, fatigue, and mood swings when you are trying to lose weight, aerobic activity may be your best friend.

If you already have a non-aerobic or not very aerobic type of exercise that you like (like bowling or weight lifting), by all means, stick with that.  If it is not aerobic enough to help you stabilize your mood while losing weight, consider adding some aerobic activity.
